About United Roundup
Built for supporters who want the full picture.
United Roundup is an independent Manchester United news and analysis hub, founded and edited by Laurie Sutcliffe. We gather the day's reporting in one place, show exactly who is saying what and add the clear human explanation that helps supporters make sense of it.
Our editorial principle
“Automate discovery. Never judgement.”
Software can find and organise reporting quickly. Deciding what is credible, important and fair remains an editorial responsibility.
Why we exist
Following United should not mean opening twenty tabs.
Manchester United is covered by the club itself, local and national newsrooms, specialist reporters, transfer journalists, former players, fan publications and a huge video community. That breadth is valuable—but it can also make a fast-moving story difficult to follow. United Roundup is designed to be the useful middle ground: broad enough to show the whole conversation, careful enough to distinguish fact from noise, and concise enough to become part of a supporter's daily routine.
How the desk works
Technology does the searching. A person does the publishing.
Our tools monitor public club channels, established newsrooms, dedicated journalists, interviews and video publishers for relevant Manchester United coverage.
The original report is reviewed for its source, wording, context and whether a claim is confirmed, attributed, opinion or speculation.
When several people are reporting the same story, we bring the different accounts together so readers can see where they agree—and where they do not.
United Roundup adds a concise human view of what matters, what remains uncertain and what supporters should watch next.
What readers can expect
Useful coverage, with the labels left on.
We do not pretend every claim carries equal weight. The aim is to make the source, status and context of a story easy to understand.
A concise original briefing that connects the week's biggest themes, competing reports and important context.
Journalists, outlets and creators are clearly credited, with readers directed to the original publication for the complete work.
First-team news sits alongside injuries, contracts, interviews, form, women's football, youth teams and Academy development.
If we get something materially wrong, we want to know. Corrections can be sent directly to our dedicated address.
From the founder & editor
“The aim is not to be the loudest voice around United. It is to be one of the most useful.”
I started United Roundup to make the daily Manchester United conversation easier to follow without losing the names, context and professional work behind it. Supporters deserve a place they can enjoy the club, question it, compare the reporting and still be honest about what is known and what is not.

Manchester United is why we're here.
United Roundup is made by a supporter, for supporters, with genuine affection for the club and respect for its history. To keep our reporting transparent, we are independently run and are not an official publication of, or endorsed by, Manchester United Football Club. Club names, marks and third-party reporting remain the property of their respective owners.
